ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY Dance Convention believes in nurturing well-rounded dance artists by using a multi-faceted approach at every event. Each convention weekend features three levels of classes taught by industry pros, panels with our teachers for career-minded artists and a formal concert performance incorporating our Activate Your Artistry tribe dancers and local professional dance companies.
AMDA provides rigorous, performance-based training and an industry-focused education experience; one that inspires excellence and prepares artists with an appreciation for the universal power of transformation through art. AMDA's educational philosophy is based on close collegial interaction between instructors and students — in class, in production and through active mentorship.

After years of artistically working in the Chicago area, Chelsea Branch and Stefany Cotton have realized that the Chicago Dance Community's greatest strength is the connectedness of it's movers. From supporting one-another with dance costumes, choreography revisions, or simply attending a performance, we show up for each other. The Rooted Space has a vision of formally developing those connections and sharing knowledge. The Rooted Space will enable each dancer in the city to know that their work is important, find support to finalize their projects, and people to join them along the way in the most helpful way to the creator.
The Trifecta Dance Collective (TDC) was established with a distinct mission: to act as the artistic voice of the communities it serves. TDC challenges traditional norms in concert dance by deconstructing established frameworks and presenting an innovative approach to the curation of full length performances.
The TDC 2 program allows dancers pursuing their undergraduate degrees to gain professional work experience without compromising on their educational goals. TDC 2 members perform at Trifecta Dance Festival in Chicago, IL and are selected during the Metamorphosis; Fearless Evolution experience and affiliate events. The company is boundary-pushing in its structure with collegiate-aged company members from across the nation uniting to perform both repertory works with the main company and new works as a separate entity, TDC 2.
