Metamorphosis Performance Ensemble

 

What is Metamorphosis Performance Ensemble (MPE)?

The Metamorphosis Performance Ensemble (MPE) connects selected dancers from across the nation through the experience of performing a full-length concert dance piece.

To participate, you must submit an MPE Application Form* by September 10th, 2025. 

Dancers will be notified of acceptance via email by September 25th, 2025.

*Were you invited to MPE at one of our affiliate’s regional events? Your invitation does NOT guarantee your spot in the ensemble. You must register, and when prompted, note your confirmation of participation. You do NOT have to fill out the application below.

2025 Assistants

  • Irelynn Bryan

    Irelynn Bryan is a senior in high school in Tecumseh, Michigan.  She dances at illuminaTe Dance and Arts Center and has been dancing for 15 years.   She has attended summer programs such as Joffrey Vegas and toured with The Energy Source Dance Experience.  She was accepted on scholarship to Point Parks Summer Dance Program and also HotCrowd Summer Intensive.  She will graduate in 2026 and plans to attend a college for dance to obtain her BFA.  She hopes to dance professionally one day and have dance forever be a part of her life.

  • Jessinya Chrisme

    Jessinya Chrisme is 16 years old from Brooklyn, New York, and is currently in her senior year of high school. She has been training at Horizons Dance Center since 2011, where she has learned many different styles such as contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, ballet, tap, and much more. She is constantly training to achieve a higher level of technique and understanding of the dance world. Jessinya has performed at many different competitions and conventions. She recently attended the Northeast Dance Connect Combine to further look into collegiate dance programming. She is so grateful for her family, along with her HDC family. Jessinya would like to thank not just God, but also everyone who has believed in her and been part of her success. She is extremely excited for the amazing opportunity to be an assistant for the 2025 Metamorphosis; Fearless Evolution event!

  • Leah Frydman

    Leah is 17 years old and will be a senior at Glenbrook South. She has been dancing since she was 6 years old and has been with Dance & Music Academy for the past 6 years. Leah has trained in ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, silks, and lyra. She is a part of TDC3, a contemporary company with DMA and will be completing her 4th season this year. Leah is very excited to be assisting this year and cannot wait to make the most of her senior year.

  • Penelope Gardner

    Penelope Gardner is a high school senior residing in Willet, New York. She has been dancing at The Dance Connection for the past 15 years, and her love for dance grows with each passing year. 

  • Aria Geye

    Aria Geye started dancing at the age of 3 at the Dance and Music Academy in Glenview and is now going to be senior in high school. From there she has done many styles of dance and fell in love with ballet and contemporary and has primarily focused on those two styles. She is apart of the Chicago Repertory Ballet Youth Ensemble and the Trifecta Dance Collective 3rd company. Growing up she has competed at many competitions and conventions. She has attended numerous summer intensives through her summers from places around the country including Ballet X and John Cranko School. She has also performed with professional companies and has had the opportunity to work with those in professional companies as well. She is now training at the Grainger Academy of the Joffrey Ballet and will be a Contemporary Ballet Trainee there next year.

  • Bria Licudine

    Bria is from Chicago, Illinois where she began training at the Dance and Music Academy when she was 3 years old. Through the studio, Bria was a part of Trifecta Youth Ensemble, Chicago Repertory Ballet Youth Ensemble, and will be a part of the new company, Trifecta Youth Nexus, this fall. As a company member, Bria was given the opportunity to perform and compete, performing at Peridance Showcase in New York City and competing at the 2022 YAGP Finals in Florida, to name a few. As a senior this fall at Loyola Academy, Bria will be entering as a four-year Varsity member and Senior Captain on the Loyola Academy Ramblerettes Dance Team. There, the team competes at the regional level qualifying for the state and national level. Bria is beyond excited and grateful to be given this opportunity to be an assistant this fall at the 2025 Metamorphosis.
