Invitations for the Collective Contemporary Awards will be distributed at our affiliates’ events (United States Tournament of Dance, CRU Dance, Fluid Dance).
If you do not attend one of our Affiliates’ events but would still like to be considered for the Collective Contemporary Awards, please email tridancecollective@gmail.com a video link to your choreography.
Top Studio Choreography of the Year Award - “Splish Splash Sploo,” LM Premier Dance
Our affiliates from across the nation have partnered with Trifecta Dance Collective to validate inspiring, creative work in the youth contemporary dance sector through the Collective Contemporary Awards. The Metamorphosis; Fearless Evolution weekend culminates with an “Oscar Style” awards ceremony for studio directors and students featuring A RED CARPET EVENT, PERFORMANCES FROM METAMORPHOSIS FACULTY AND ASSISTANTS, THE AWARDING OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, AND THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNERS OF THE COLLECTIVE CONTEMPORARY AWARDS.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between competitive and conservatory dance studios and the professional world to continue the evolution of youth contemporary dance.

2024 Nominees

-You MUST be present at the Metamorphosis; Fearless Evolution experience and the Collective Contemporary Awards in order to be an official nominee for the 2024 Collective Contemporary Awards.
- Students must be registered for the event and are welcome to submit to the Solo Showcases and perform in the Metamorphosis Performance Ensemble.
- Nominated studios may choose to perform either the nominated work or a different work during the Metamorphosis; Fearless Evolution Choreography Group Showcase. This is an excellent opportunity to premiere new work on stage.
- Winners of the Collective Contemporary Awards are selected by our adjudicating team. Each nomination will be reviewed by adjudicators based on our categories and criteria.
Collective Contemporary Awards - Categories
Fearless Artistry Award
The Fearless Artistry Award is presented to a piece encompassing risk-taking, innovative movement. Clear choreographic proof of thought and attention to detail will be evident throughout the dance.
Creative Spatial Integration Award
The Creative Spatial Integration Award is presented to a work demonstrating dynamic use of space and geometric patterning. Dancers will display a keen sense of kinesthetic and spatial awareness emphasized through the choreographic framework.
Dynamic Storytelling Award
The Dynamic Storytelling Award is presented to choreography exhibiting a distinctive interpretation of a musical score through movement telling a clear story. Evidence of the connection between music, concept, and movement is transparent during the piece.
Most Inspirational Impression Award
The Most Inspirational Impression Award is presented to a compelling work with notable use of time, space, and energy to further choreographic conceptual impact. This piece will stand out in its ability to connect dancer and viewer through expressive movement.
TOP STUDIO CHOREOGRAPHY OF THE YEAR
Top Studio Choreography of the Year is awarded to a piece of visionary choreography igniting the evolution of youth contemporary dance. This will be a work comprised of impactful, innovative, and artistic movement integrating creative spatial patterns and dynamic musicality.
