2025 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Metamorphosis must have a signed waiver on file for each participant. If we do not have a waiver for your dancer, they may not enter the convention until we have a signed copy.

What to wear on Friday (MPE) and Saturday:

• Apparel: Leotard or dance top, appropriate dance bottoms.

• Footwear: Half shoes, ballet shoes, or jazz shoes are required for all classes.

• Hair: Clean and out of the face

What to bring:

• Friday (MPE): Water bottle

• Saturday: Water bottle, bagged lunch in a disposable bag (nut-free), costumes for MPE and Showcases (if applicable)

What to wear for the Saturday Group A Awards on Saturday and the Group B/C Collective Contemporary Awards on Sunday:

• Your choice of nice outfit (semi-formal attire encouraged).

*MPE DANCERS will need to bring their costume or choice of outfit for the photo/video shoot with them and change after the ceremony for filming/photoshoot plan to bring a jacket and black or white sneakers, in the event we do this outside, weather permitting.

Additional Metamorphosis Convention Class Notes:

• Dancers will receive a number at check-in that they will wear during the convention.

• Throughout the day, the scholarship/collegiate partners will watch dancers in class and select dancers for scholarships. Dancers should try their best in every class. Refrain from talking to your friends, sitting on the sides, etc.

• Scholarships will be granted based on talent AND attitude in classes.

• Parents may not observe class. However, dance studio directors and instructors are welcome to observe class.

• Parents MAY attend the SOAR Luncheon, SOAR Fair, and Parent Seminar.

• Classes will be photographed and filmed at various times throughout the day to be displayed on social media platforms and website.

• Scholarship winners will also be photographed and displayed on the Metamorphosis social media platforms and website.

• There will be Metamorphosis; Fearless Evolution merchandise for sale, be sure to stop by our table. Our merchandise sells out quickly and will not be held at the table.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to check in, this will also be your check-in for Saturday's master classes.

MPE Rehearsals for MPE Chrysalis, MPE Butterfly A, MPE Butterfly B, and ASSISTANTS will take place at the Fine Arts Building-410 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL:

5-6pm

• Assistants ONLY Rehearsal in Studio A

• Take Flight Rehearsal in Studio B

6-8:30pm

• Chrysalis Rehearsal in Studio B

• Butterfly A Rehearsal in Studio C

• Assistants & Butterfly B Rehearsal in Curtis Hall
